The books, how many? Enough to fill 4 huge overflowing bookcases in 2 different rooms. Baskets and piles of books in virtually every room of the house. Books that would arrive after her passing. Books she researched, culled from the Book Review on a Sunday afternoon. Books tracked down from small English publishing houses. Many, many books.
When she could no longer read the books, she tried listening to them. It was not the same. She wanted to finish that last mystery. Just finish that one book. Her eyes would not cooperate. We read to her. Never finishing that book....
I could not buy another book until I read all of these books.
It will be an adventure. 2 boys, 2 jobs, and lots of books to read. Wish me luck.
